Work Environment

This role is onsite and involves traveling to patients' homes in the Valley Stream area. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Strengthen Physical Therapy, you will take on crucial responsibilities that include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations to tailor appropriate therapy interventions.
• Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans focused on improving strength, mobility, and functional independence tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
• Administering therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and utilizing modalities such as electrical stimulation or ultrasound to address a wide range of physical impairments.
• Monitoring and documenting each patient's progress meticulously, providing updates to treatment plans based on observed changes in their conditions.
• Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team, consisting of physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure holistic care and continuity of treatment.
• Educating patients and their families about home exercise programs and strategies to maintain physical health post-therapy, promoting ongoing wellness.
• Upholding compliance with all pertinent state and federal regulations, ensuring our practice adheres to professional standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on the geriatric population, including patients recovering from surgeries, strokes, or managing chronic conditions. Qualifications

To thrive in this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of New York.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, with a preference for candidates holding a Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited institution.

Compensation and Benefits
