Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, your duties will include:

• Conducting in-depth clinical assessments to understand the psychological needs of each patient and developing individualized treatment plans.
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to guide patients through their mental health challenges.
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring all patient records are up-to-date and confidential.
• Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and nurses, to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Engaging in regular case consultations and providing insights during team meetings to enhance service delivery.
• Educating patients and their families about mental health resources, treatment options, and coping strategies to facilitate a supportive environment.
• Staying informed on the latest research in mental health practices and integrating new methodologies into your clinical work.
• Managing a diverse caseload effectively, ensuring timely progress towards treatment goals while adhering to professional ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working closely with patients in a hospice setting, many of whom may be grappling with terminal illnesses and the associated emotional and psychological strains. You will be crucial in providing therapeutic support for their unique needs, focusing on grief counseling, anxiety management, and life review therapy. Additionally, you will support families through their journey, addressing their emotional and informational needs to foster resilience during difficult times.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• A minimum of two (2) years of post-graduate clinical experience, particularly in mental health or hospice care settings.
• A solid understanding of psychotherapy techniques and evidence-based intervention strategies.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to empathize and build rapport with diverse populations.
• Proficient problem-solving abilities to navigate complex patient situations effectively.
• Capability to work independently while also being an integral part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within hospice or palliative care settings is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with therapeutic techniques specific to grief and loss would be advantageous.
• Experience with remote counseling tools and telehealth platforms.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
