The facility features a growing Level III NICU program with an 8-bed NICU and 10 LDR couplet care rooms, supported by a collaborative multidisciplinary team focused on delivering exceptional patient-centered care.\n

Job Details: \n
\n• Provide comprehensive neonatal care in a Level III NICU and newborn nursery\n
\n• Attend and manage high-risk deliveries in collaboration with OB and perinatal teams\n
\n• Deliver patient-centered care to a daily census of approximately 9-11 patients\n
\n• Work within an 8-bed Level III NICU and 10 LDR couplet care rooms\n
\n• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including 2 Neonatologists and 4.5 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners\n
\n• Mentor and support NICU nursing and respiratory teams as patient acuity grows\n
\n• Participate in the development and implementation of clinical protocols\n
\n• Contribute to strategic growth and expansion of the NICU program\n
\n• Engage in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety efforts\n
\n• Maintain strong communication with hospital leadership and staff\n
\n• Flexible week-on/week-off schedule with home call model\n
\n• Home call during assigned week (24 hours/day for 7 consecutive days)\n
\n• Weekend coverage included during week-on schedule\n
\n• Must be Board Certified in Pediatrics and Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neonatology\n
\n• Virginia Medical License required (or willingness to obtain)\n
\n• Neonatology experience required (experienced candidates only)\n
\n• Optional participation in moonlighting opportunities across Virginia\n
\n• Permanent, full-time position requiring residency within immediate local area\n
