IT Business Lead Analyst

Position Overview The IT Business Lead Analyst is a senior-level role within Citi’s Third-Party Source to Pay Technology team. The analyst manages and implements core and strategic platforms and automation initiatives in the Staffing Office and Supply Chain domain, acting as the liaison between business users and technologists to ensure clear and logical information exchange throughout the project life cycle. Responsibilities Implement and support strategic corporate SaaS platforms (SAP Fieldglass, SAP Concur) and the middleware integration layer. Manage external vendor relationships to ensure compliance with Citi’s Information Security and Data Management policies and controls. Provide input during development and implementation phases, shaping system scope, objectives, and necessary system enhancements for complex, high-impact projects. Identify, communicate, and propose mitigation for risks, considering business implications of technology applications. Consult with business clients to determine system functional specifications and collaborate with multiple management teams and units to achieve organizational objectives. Conduct feasibility analysis for significant process changes and collaborate with business teams to develop process improvements and solutions that streamline workflow. Evaluate new IT developments and evolving business requirements, recommending appropriate systems alternatives or enhancements based on business process analysis and industry standards. Provide sophisticated analyses and interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions, and influence strategic functional decisions. Supervise day-to-day staff management issues, including resource allocation, mentoring/coaching, and other duties as assigned. Act as subject matter expert to senior stakeholders and team members. Assess risk in business decisions, prioritizing the firm’s reputation and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Recommended Qualifications 6–10 years of experience. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) with extensive experience using Excel for data analysis. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle. Comprehensive knowledge of business analysis principles. Experience implementing and managing SaaS platforms such as SAP Fieldglass and SAP Concur. Gen AI Experience Experience and knowledge of AI / Gen AI tools and technologies to solve complex business problems. Exposure to Gen‑AI concepts including Large Language Models (LLMs) and transformer‑based systems. Experience with prompt engineering and basic agent workflows. Understanding of vector search and retrieval concepts. Familiarity with Gen‑AI frameworks/tools such as LangChain, LangGraph, MLflow, or workflow orchestration tools. Education Bachelor’s degree or university degree, or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred.
