Overview
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, California. Start date: 09/14/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,780 per week to $2,934 per week. Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (3x12). Setting: travel assignment in a hospital-level care environment. This role focuses on planning and providing comprehensive nursing care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients and their families, including handling emergency situations and circulating for C-sections.

Responsibilities
- Plan and provide nursing care for patients and families across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods, including emergencies and intraoperative circulating for C-sections.
- Assess patient status, implement care plans, administer medications as ordered, and document clinical data accurately.
- Monitor maternal and fetal conditions, respond to changes, and coordinate with the obstetric team during emergencies.
- Supervise and delegate appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel within scope of practice, collaborating closely with CNAs and other team members.
- Educate patients and families, support emotional well-being, and contribute to discharge planning and follow-up education.
- Maintain safety, infection control, and compliance with policies and procedures; ensure accurate charting and handoffs.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California (in good standing)
- Ability and readiness to work 12-hour night shifts on a 3x12 schedule
- Demonstrated ability to provide care across the labor and delivery spectrum (antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to collaborate with CNAs and other staff
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; willingness to complete required credentialing and onboarding processes for a travel assignment
