HiFyve is hiring a 1st Shift Maintenance Press Technician in the Automotive Industry!

HiFyve is partnering with an automotive manufacturer to hire a Maintenance Press Technician for its manufacturing facility in Columbus, Nebraska . This is a hands-on opportunity focused on maintaining and troubleshooting industrial press equipment in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.

Position Details

Location: Columbus, NE

Shift: 1st Shift

• Monday through Friday
• 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Rotating on-call schedule every 4th weekend

Pay:

• $20–$41/hour depending on experience

Job Summary

Responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production press equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and continuous operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial presses and related production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems .
• Diagnose press and equipment failures to identify the cause of production downtime.
• Support press setup, equipment adjustments, and repairs to restore production quickly.
• Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics .
• Respond promptly to press breakdowns and production maintenance requests.
• Complete maintenance work orders accurately and on time.
• Support equipment reliability and continuous operation by identifying recurring failures.
• Follow all applicable safety, quality, and environmental requirements .
• Follow LOTO and all required plant safety procedures when performing maintenance work.

Qualifications

• Industrial press maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Working knowledge of:
• Mechanical systems
• Electrical systems
• Hydraulic systems
• Pneumatic systems
• Industrial press equipment
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings and schematics.
• Strong equipment troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to diagnose equipment failures and complete repairs with minimal downtime.
• Experience supporting press setups and equipment adjustments.
• Automotive manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience working with stamping presses or other industrial press equipment preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with Production and other plant departments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
