Environmental Operations Manager

About the Role An established and growing environmental remediation organization is seeking a results-driven Operations Manager to join its leadership team. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in waste disposal, DOT compliance, and supervisory roles, with a strong commitment to safety, regulatory excellence, and operational efficiency. Compensation will be based on experience, licenses, qualifications, and other applicable factors. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day field and facility operations related to environmental remediation and hazardous/non-hazardous waste management. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including DOT, environmental, and workplace safety standards. Supervise, train, and support field staff and drivers to maintain safety, quality, and productivity. Coordinate transportation and disposal logistics for various waste streams. Implement and improve operational policies and procedures to maximize performance and minimize risk. Collaborate with project managers, clients, and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution. Maintain accurate records, including manifests, inspection logs, and incident reports. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in environmental remediation, waste disposal, or a related industry. In-depth knowledge of DOT compliance and transportation regulations. Proven leadership and supervisory experience. Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Valid driver's license. CDL and HAZWOPER certifications are a plus.
