Registered Nurse, Children's Er (Night Shift)

ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Children's ER (Night Shift) in Reno, Nevada.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

3x12 hour shifts, Nights. The scheduled hours are from 19:00 to 07:30.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Children's ER provides optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process. This role involves managing care for pediatric patients, ensuring individual outcomes through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN coordinates care among professionals as needed and focuses on the cognitive and psychosocial needs specific to the pediatric population.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing services to pediatric patients in the emergency department.
• Demonstrate excellent documentation skills while interacting compassionately with patients and families.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for pediatric patients.
• Be prepared to float to other departments as necessary, depending on competency level.
• Possess comfort and competency in pediatric resuscitation and care of critically ill children.

Required Experience

Two years of experience in a Pediatric ER is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current Nevada RN license is required prior to start.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
