Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist - $2390 per week.

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Experience with Soarian is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Up to three (3) years of experience required. Critical care and NICU experience required. Experience with V60 BiPAP and 980 Puritan Bennett ventilators required.

Required Credentials: Graduation from an accredited School for Respiratory Therapy.

Unit Details: Provides respiratory therapy evaluation and treatment for inpatients, outpatients, UHS staff and employees, and affiliated UHS community groups as needed. Performs aerosol therapy; CPT/Flutter/PEP mask secretion mobilization therapy; incentive spirometry; MDI therapy; suctioning; and extubation. Maintains oxygen tank safety and performs oxygen therapy on approved devices. Manages BiPAP/CPAP therapy and alarms, high-flow cannula/humidifier therapy and alarms, mechanical ventilation, and ventilator alarms. Performs Cough Assist/Vest therapy, pulmonary function screen diagnostic procedures, fit testing in coordination with Employee Health, pulse oximetry, and adult and pediatric EKG procedures. Performs adult, pediatric, and neonatal BLS when necessary. Performs arterial puncture and analysis and quality control for the Blood Gas Laboratory. Performs pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic and therapeutic procedures per physicians’ written orders. Uses the MAK medication administration program and McKesson medication dispensing system. Travelers must be able to participate in external patient transports.
