Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our dynamic team. The role involves welding per blueprint specifications, determining proper welds, callouts, and positions to complete jobs efficiently. You will be responsible for reading detailed welding blueprints and executing tasks with precision. The primary focus will be on MIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel, ranging from 7 gauge to 1/4''. Additionally, you will assist in cutting materials, organizing and staging them for other employees, as well as fabricating, operating machines, grinding, cutting insulation, and finishing parts. This position consists of 80% welding and 20% other duties.
Responsibilities

• Perform welding according to blueprint specifications.
• Determine appropriate welds, callouts, and positions for job completion.
• Read and interpret detailed welding blueprints.
• Conduct MIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel (7 gauge - 1/4'').
• Assist with cutting, organizing, and staging materials.
• Fabricate by operating machines, grinding, cutting insulation, and finishing parts.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of MIG welding experience.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading.
• Shop math skills.
• Comfortable with fabricating, including TIG and flux core welding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Welding experience or degree.
• Preferred experience with blueprint and welding symbols.
• Stable work history with minimal job changes.
• Ability to assist in fabrication and other areas as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Apple Valley, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
