Clinical Account Specialist

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Clinical Account Specialist in Houston, TX to support our Cardiovascular product line. This role focuses on providing expert clinical product and technical assistance to physicians and EP lab staff, driving product usage and ensuring continued customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Provide expert clinical product and technical assistance and training to physicians and EP Lab Staff on the use of electrophysiology systems and catheter equipment, such as the CARTO System and RF generator, during case procedures. Educate customers on all electrophysiology products to optimize effective usage through technical and clinical information and in‑service training. Collaborate with peers to share best practices and increase value for customers. Use consultative selling techniques to identify potential sales opportunities within the account and create awareness of electrophysiology solutions. Maximize customer case support capability through proper planning and scheduling techniques. Maintain consistent, open lines of communication with the local team, Pod members, and support teams, fostering collaboration and driving incremental business. Develop and share best practices with US Field Sales and Service colleagues and internal partners. Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with physicians, nurses, technicians, and other hospital staff. Stay current on product instructions for use, best practices, technical troubleshooting, and relevant scientific literature. Prioritize and respond to customer requests in a high‑stress environment while maintaining composure and problem‑solving focus. Engage in diagnostic dialogue with internal and external partners, formulate solutions based on input, and provide mentoring to new team members when requested. Respond to daily requests by email and voicemail from customers, practitioners, and partners. Perform administrative tasks including account documentation, compliance training, expense reporting, and compliance with company systems. Maintain Safe Fleet standards and ensure all resources needed for health, safety, and environmental practices are available and maintained. Communicate business‑related issues or opportunities to the next management level. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience. Minimum of 2 years clinical or technical experience in a patient‑care or hospital environment, or completion of the Company’s ACAS program. Valid driver’s license issued in the United States. Advanced clinical knowledge of cardiac ablation and cardiovascular imaging, and technical knowledge of electrophysiology technology. Knowledge of healthcare industry, disease states, and therapeutic trends. Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% of the time, including overnight local, regional, and national trips, sometimes on short notice. Ability to sit for extended periods, work in a laboratory setting, attend live patient cases, and wear protective gear such as lead aprons. Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs as needed. Effective communicator at all levels of the patient‑care team. Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment. Self‑starter who is flexible and collaborative, with a hunger for learning and developing new skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Electrophysiology/Cath Lab or EP/ Cardiovascular Device Industry. Industry certifications such as CEPS (IBHRE) or RCES/RCIS. Experience working with highly complex technical systems in critical patient‑care settings. Ability to handle large amounts of data and translate information into actionable insights. Strong collaboration and team‑work skills, with a receptive attitude toward constructive feedback. Demonstrated critical thinking in high‑pressure environments.
