The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality seeks an Environmental Chemical Specialist to provide technical assistance to small businesses and communities on environmental regulatory compliance. The role involves reviewing engineering processes, assisting with permit applications, conducting site visits, and supporting outreach activities across designated parishes. The position offers three levels based on experience and qualifications. Key qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering; or Master's degree in engineering or chemical/physical science Technical expertise in environmental regulations and chemical processes Ability to perform advanced engineering calculations and analysis Experience or knowledge of chemical process industry Strong communication and team collaboration skills #J-18808-Ljbffr DGS Office of External Affairs
