Maintenance Manager

Description POSITION SUMMARY The Maintenance Manager provides leadership and direction for all maintenance department personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations. This role oversees preventive and predictive maintenance programs, team development, budgeting, and continuous improvement efforts. The manager ensures all maintenance activities align with Alexandria Industries' values, compliance standards, and long-term business goals. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished. Promote and support a safety-first culture; ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety programs Develop and implement multi-year maintenance strategies focused on up-time improvement and cost efficiency. Plan, schedule, and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Provide leadership, mentorship, and development for maintenance personnel using servant leadership principles. Collaborate with the COO to develop budgets and manage expenses within approved limits. Oversee CMMS utilization, ensuring accurate data entry and reporting on KPIs such as uptime, downtime, and PM completion. Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure safety while in our plants along with quality and cost-effective service. Lead initiatives to transition from reactive to proactive maintenance practices. Manage spare parts and consumable inventory to support maintenance operations. Support employee performance reviews, coaching, and growth planning to build a high-performing team. Identify and implement cost reduction and process improvement opportunities. Oversee facility utilities, systems, and grounds maintenance to ensure optimal operation and appearance. Serve as a key point of contact for cross-department collaboration on maintenance-related projects. OTHER JOB DUTIES (Not considered essential to the job) Perform all other related assignments (including special projects) as required in a professional and cooperative manner. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor's degree in industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. Experience: Minimum 5 years of maintenance management experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Demonstrated success leading maintenance teams and implementing CMMS-based maintenance programs Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficiency with CMMS software, Microsoft Office Suite, and maintenance planning tools. Strong technical background in mechanical, electrical, and automation systems (PLC, robotics, hydraulics). Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills. Servant leadership mindset and ability to empower teams through mentorship and accountability. Strong project management and budgeting abilities. EQUIPMENT USED Standard office equipment (computer, phone, printer, copier). Various industrial tools, machines and diagnostic instruments. Measurement tools such as calipers, multimeters, gauges, and micrometers.
