Head Boys Basketball Coach

Helix Community Schools

Baton Rouge, LA

Responsibilities Plan, organize, and conduct effective practice sessions and game strategies. Teach fundamental and advanced skills while emphasizing teamwork and respect. Oversee athlete conditioning, safety, and performance development. Maintain communication with parents, athletic directors, and school staff. Support the academic progress and personal growth of all team members. Ensure compliance with LHSAA regulations and school policies. Qualifications Previous coaching or playing experience in basketball (high school or higher level preferred). Knowledge of rules, strategies, and conditioning techniques. Strong leadership, communication, and motivational skills. Preferred: Teaching certification or a commitment to obtain certification. Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
