Forklift Mechanic - 2nd shift

Job Summary To provide basic maintenance, repair, installation, cleaning and modification of equipment related to forklifts. Key Performance Indicators Safety adherence Preventative Maintenance Schedule Adherence Ability to handle parts without damaging people, parts or property Timely and accurate record keeping Essential Job Responsibilities Recognize, investigate and report findings on maintenance problems related to forklifts. Ability to troubleshoot/repair forklift/manipulator problems. Hydraulic: leaks, resealing of cylinders, overhaul of control valves, etc. Electrical: starting problems, wiring repairs, etc. Mechanical: engine tune-ups, engine/transmission replacement, mast repairs. Assign shift work and train new employees as needed. Obtain/order necessary parts using service manuals. Attend meetings to discuss equipment issues or problems. Requirements 3+ years forklift repair experience High school diploma preferred Must be able to read and write English Ability to prioritize multiple projects Self-motivated and positive attitude Commitment to safety and quality Physical Demand The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
