Director of Project Finance

Compensation: $175,000 - $250,000 base + bonus
Location: New York, NY
A leading renewable energy platform is seeking a Director of Project Finance to support the execution of complex financing transactions across its U.S. portfolio of clean energy assets.
This individual will play a key role in structuring and executing project-level financings, partnering closely with internal development, finance, and legal teams as well as external capital providers. The role sits at the center of ongoing capital markets activity and will contribute directly to portfolio growth and investment strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead execution of project finance transactions across renewable energy assets, including debt and equity structures
- Manage transactions from early structuring and diligence through negotiation, documentation, and close
- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate project economics and investment returns
- Coordinate with lenders, investors, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders across live transactions
- Support capital markets initiatives, including portfolio financing strategy and select investment activities
- Maintain and grow relationships with key financing partners and market participants
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in project finance, infrastructure finance, investment banking, private equity, or related transaction-focused roles
- Proven experience executing or supporting project-level financings in energy, infrastructure, or adjacent sectors
- Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities
- Experience working across multi-party, complex transaction processes
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
