Veterinary Technician Supervisor - Internal Medicine

Job Summary ACCESS Los Angeles is seeking an Internal Medicine Supervisor to join our growing team! The Internal Medicine Technician Supervisor serves as the primary liaison for the Internal Medicine Department, ensuring smooth daily operations and high-quality patient care. This role will be on the clinical floor in the department and is responsible for addressing technical inquiries, resolving operational concerns, supporting the Department Manager by overseeing the technical team, supervising and mentoring technical staff, coordinating with doctors to optimize workflow, ensuring the department is well-equipped and organized, coordinating training opportunities, maintaining accurate inventory of medications and supplies, and overseeing cleaning and maintenance of specialized equipment such as endoscopes, ultrasound machines, and tools used in Interventional Radiology. This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of internal medicine procedures and protocols in a veterinary setting. Bonus and Compensation

• 5,000 Sign-On Bonus
• 2,500 retention bonus at 12 months
• 2,500 retention bonus at 24 months (subject to eligibility and bonus agreement terms)

Bonus eligibility and payout terms apply. Compensation: $22 - $40/hr, depending upon experience/skills. Responsibilities Being on the clinical floor within the department to act as a liaison between the team and Department Manager by promptly reporting any patient or doctor-related concerns to ensure a timely resolution. Assign daily responsibilities and case support based on doctor rounds and departmental needs. Reassign technical staff during slower periods or when doctors are unavailable to maintain productivity. Ensure team is providing daily cleaning to maintain treatment area and equipment to hygienic standards. Inspire the department’s technical staff to ensure high-quality performance and efficient workflow aligned with departmental and hospital-wide goals. Participate in weekly meetings with the Department Manager to review and strategize in streamlining departmental performance and improving workplace culture. Provide support to ACCESS to promote hospital-wide success. Partner with the Department Manager to identify training needs and coordinate skill development opportunities for technical staff. Ensure team members are proficient in technical procedures relevant to Internal Medicine. Participate with onboarding of new team members. Coordinate training opportunities, collaborate with team to maintain accurate inventory of medications and supplies, and oversee cleaning and maintenance requests of specialized equipment. Key Qualifications Minimum five years' experience in the veterinary field. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs. Strong focus on cleanliness and thoroughness in all tasks. Ability to direct a team to promote efficiency and quality care. Willingness to respond positively to requests from staff and work effectively with others. Availability weekends as required. Ability to multi-task and work on several different projects simultaneously. Great work ethic and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Self-starter who is able to work with and without direct supervision. ACA 3 or higher, RVT preferred.
