Automotive Service Technician

As an automotive service technician at Parkside Kia in Knoxville, Tennessee, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the high standards of our dealership. This is a full-time, hourly position in the auto industry, requiring technical skills and strong attention to detail. As an individual contributor, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues on a variety of Kia vehicles.

Compensation & Benefits: This is a full-time hourly position offering competitive compensation based on experience, certifications, and performance. Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on Kia vehicles using appropriate tools and equipment
• Complete accurate and timely repairs based on dealership and manufacturer standards
• Conduct vehicle inspections and provide accurate estimates for repairs
• Keep accurate records of all service and repair work performed
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and other team members
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience as an automotive service technician
• ASE certifications preferred
• Must have own tools and a valid driver's license
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
