As a Screener in a government location, you will help monitor access, screen people and property, and support daily security-related operations with professionalism and strong communication. This is an armed post. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Screen visitors, staff, and/or personal property in accordance with post orders and access control procedures, and report irregularities or prohibited items through appropriate channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while assisting with crowd management, entry point activity, and/or directions for visitors.
• Monitor entrances, screening equipment, and/or assigned areas to help support orderly operations and document security-related concerns, unusual activity, and/or policy violations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter as assigned, noting conditions that may require follow-up by site contacts or public officials.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
