Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Design tailored treatment strategies that address immediate needs as well as long-term communication goals.
• Implement individualized speech therapy interventions focusing on communication, fluency, language, voice, and swallowing.
• Engage collaboratively with a team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians, along with caregivers and families, to cultivate unified care approaches.
• Provide education for patients and families to encourage continued progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Assist with inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions as needed to ensure seamless patient care.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational requirements.
• Stay abreast of advancements in the field through continual education and peer interaction.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Fulfillment of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet achieved.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting.
