Chief Product & Technology Officer

Role Description

The technology that serves our clinicians should feel as human as the care they give. Brightline is redefining pediatric behavioral health at scale — combining technology, clinical excellence, and family partnership to deliver care to children and adolescents nationally.

We're looking for a Chief Technology & Product Officer who understands that in behavioral health, technology is never neutral. This role is:

• A full executive seat owning product, engineering, IT, security, compliance, and our physical footprint.
• Accountable for the full surface area of Brightline's technology: family-facing, clinician-facing, partner-facing, and internal.
• A disciplined build-vs-buy-vs-partner strategist with a framework and the conviction to defend it.
• A hands-on leader who moves between board-level strategy and technical architecture.
• A leader who treats behavioral health as a distinct, high-stakes domain.

This is a rare role where technical excellence and clinical empathy carry equal weight, across every stakeholder — child, parent, clinician, operator.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive technology and product leadership, including 5+ years at the executive/C-suite level.
• Demonstrated experience leading product and engineering in healthcare or digital health; behavioral health experience strongly preferred.
• Proven build-vs-buy-vs-partner track record at a company navigating meaningful scale (Series A and beyond).
• Experience managing the full product lifecycle from concept through clinical deployment in a regulated environment.
• Track record building and leading high-performing, inclusive engineering and product organizations.
• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR), EHR integrations, and HIPAA-compliant data architecture.
• Experience with multi-site care delivery models.
• Post-acquisition integration experience (products, platforms, or teams) is a plus.

In compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual base salary range for this role is $325,000–$365,000.
