Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position at an acute care hospital in Fort Walton Beach, FL, requiring at least 2 years of Cath Lab experience and active ACLS and BLS certifications.

Details

• Position is based in the Cardiac Cath Lab of a 257-bed acute care hospital that is an Accredited Chest Pain Center and Advanced Primary Stroke Center
• Unit has 7 holding beds
• Procedures performed include PCI, TAVR, PFO closure, atherectomy, R/LHC, Impella/IABP, implants, DCCV, and TEE
• Equipment used includes GE Innova and Impella
• Documentation systems: MacLab and Meditech
• Shift hours are 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• STEMI call required approximately 10–12 days per month
• Self-scheduling available
• Floating may be required within related departments, including EP and Stress Lab
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active FL RN license or compact RN license (must be currently in hand)
• Current AHA or ARC certifications: BLS and ACLS (must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience
• Experience with Structural Heart procedures, IABP, Impella, IFR, and FFR required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — Canadian SSNs are not accepted
• Two professional references required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Hospital surgical scrubs are provided — no personal scrubs required
• The facility has been recognized with Daisy and Sunflower Awards
• The unit features experienced staff and self-scheduling options
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible, no exceptions
• This is a travel position; candidates living within 50 miles of the facility do not qualify
