Job Overview
A law firm seeks a full-time Attorney in Fort Thomas, KY, offering a hybrid work arrangement. This role focuses on creditor-side, collections, and related disputes, particularly within the oil and gas sector, while also handling a variety of commercial and fiduciary matters.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on creditor rights, collections, and litigation matters
- Handle disputes involving mineral liens and oil and gas service companies
- Manage litigation and dispute resolution matters, including business and probate-related issues
- Negotiate pre-suit claims and settlements
- Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members
- Manage deadlines, prioritize workload, and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff on case strategy and firm initiatives
Requirements
- 2 years of legal experience in bankruptcy, creditor rights, or collections-related matters
- Ability to manage complex matters independently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Adaptability and willingness to contribute across various legal matters
Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Certifications
Active license to practice law in KY
