Overview Jiffy Lube Technician-Mechanics perform our Signature Service Oil Change, routine preventative maintenance, vehicle diagnostics, general repair services, brake services, tire replacement, etc. This is an important job in our Jiffy Lube stores and critical to our success. Qualifications All experience levels are welcome. We can train any skill level as long as you are good at working with your hands. Previous experience is preferred, with a minimum of 1 year working for a dealership, automotive shop, tire center, or quick lube. ASE certification is a plus. Job Duties Include, but are not limited to… Perform Jiffy Lube Signature Service oil change Inspect and service fluids, filters, lights, wipers, tires, and other minor services Test, diagnose, and repair brakes, ABS systems, shocks/suspensions, alternators, starters, sensors, spark plugs, tires, cooling system, A/C repair, and light engine repair Once you’ve become certified within our training programs, you will be eligible for advancement opportunities and training in other positions [Certified Technician, Service Advisor and/or Management] Physical Qualifications Must be able to operate equipment such as overhead and floor-mounted oil and grease guns, vehicle lift controls, impact wrenches, transmission machine, air conditioner service machine, radiator service machine, hand tools and basic shop equipment Must be able to lift and move work-related items up to 50 pounds Must be able to push, pull, lift, and bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, and turn head-neck-shoulders as needed The Blauvelt Jiffy Lubes have been in operation for over 40 years.
