Assistant Project Manager

About the Job Elite Executive Solutions is partnering with a leading electrical contractor in the Austin market to identify motivated Assistant Project Managers who are looking to advance their careers while supporting complex commercial, healthcare, and mission-critical/data center projects. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and is eager to develop into a Project Manager through hands-on experience and mentorship. Key Responsibilities Support Project Managers with the planning, execution, and successful delivery of electrical construction projects. Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking. Coordinate material procurement, subcontractors, and project documentation. Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders. Maintain project records and assist with contract administration. Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with field and office teams. Track project progress, identify potential issues, and support resolution efforts. Assist with monthly billings, job cost reporting, and project closeout documentation. Promote compliance with safety standards, company policies, and client requirements. Qualifications 2–5 years of experience in construction project coordination, project engineering, or assistant project management. Experience in electrical construction strongly preferred. Basic understanding of construction processes, project controls, and contract administration. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and project management software such as Procore. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Experience Commercial, healthcare, industrial, or data center project exposure. Experience reviewing drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
