Classification: Full-Time Shift: Monday through Friday, Hourly Qualifications The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: Minimum of 1-year experience as an administrative assistant in a hospitality-driven team environment Knowledge of Delphi/Meeting Broker/OPERA systems is preferred Sales, Marketing and/or event coordinating experience is a plus Proficient in computer skills (including Windows and Microsoft Suite including Word, Power Point, Excel & Outlook) necessary to complete any correspondence such as proposals, letters, and office communications Excellent telephone etiquette and ability to communicate with clients and all levels of management Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle several projects/deadlines Strong organizational and self-guided multi-tasking skills Eager to learn various disciplines that make up hotel marketing Basic knowledge of traditional social media and reputation management channels Ability to learn how to navigate CMS platforms What will I be doing? This administrative position is clerical in nature and support oriented. It’s the first step towards a Sales or Marketing Management career. The Sales & Marketing Coordinator supports the Director of Sales and the Sales and Marketing Management Team in a variety of ways that are critically important to successfully securing business as well as meeting the needs of the hotel’s clients. Group Sales Role & Responsibilities Assist with all office sales efforts, to include responding to general inquiries and client requests. Liaise with guests, clients and staff on a regular basis Assist clients in the absence of the Sales Managers Coordinate and assist with customer events, sales appointments, site visit preparation and ability to stand-in on behalf of Sales Managers Process and maintain accounting responsibilities for Managers in accordance with established guidelines and standards, including completion of expense reports Provide main telephone coverage for the sales and catering office To perform duties in a timely manner: general correspondence within 24 hours, projects within the specified deadline Assist Sales Managers with group sales proposals, merging contracts within Delphi FDC, as well as any other necessary data entry within Delphi, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, or any other related program.
