Accounting Clerk – Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, financial reporting, and recordkeeping. This role requires strong analytical skills, accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities :

Accounting & Reporting:

• Reconcile bank statements and accounts
• Prepare month-end reports
• Assist Senior Accounting Manager with month-end close and reporting
• Maintain accurate financial records and support audits
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies

Accounts Payable:

• Process, review, and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and approval
• Schedule and issue payments via check, ACH, and wire transfers
• Maintain vendor records, including W-9 documentation
• Complete credit applications for new vendors
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies
• Review and process employee expense reports

Accounts Receivable:

• Create and send customer invoices
• Assist with collections and coordinate follow-up calls with Customer Service Liaison
• Obtain credit reports and verify references for new customers
  
  

Qualifications:

• Previous accounting, bookkeeping, or clerk experience preferred
• Strong data entry and accounting software skills
• Experience in QuickBooks a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally
• Strong sense of urgency with the ability to meet deadlines

Compensation:
