Essential Functions As part of Residential Programs Department, this position provides orientation, training, and direct supervision to Belfort House and Bronzeville Youth Shelter (BYS) program staff and clients. Within residential programs, ensures service models, client deliverables and programmatic outcomes are aligned with the agency vision, mission, and values, and adhere to the core tenets of harm reduction, trauma informed care, and positive youth development. Responsible for ensuring outcomes and deliverables are appropriately measured and reported. Demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to the mission and core values of Ignite. Reports to the Director of Transitional Housing. Program Management Ensures that the development and delivery of all residential youth development services embody the agency's youth development philosophies. Responsible for program planning and evaluation. Analyzes program data and provides reports to staff, senior leadership and board regarding staff and client performance measures. Coordinates assessments and intake processes for youth matched to the Belfort House Transitional Housing program. Monitors intake process for Bronzeville Youth Shelter (BYS) in accordance with Basic Center Program standards and CCBYS agencies. Participates in weekly external Coordinated Entry (CE) meetings to identify appropriate housing matches via the Coordinated Entry System (CES). Works closely with other program leaders to ensure staff embrace a collaborative culture. Collaborates with staff in all departments to assist with grant making, donor tours, funding reviews, and volunteer activities. Assists in program audits with private and public funding partners. Facilitates regular Case Manager Team Meetings. Staff Supervision Provides leadership to the Belfort House and BYS program teams while fostering a culture of communication and accountability. Hires, trains, and supervises Case Management staff for Belfort House and BYS to ensure: Smooth functioning of quality case management and support service delivery. Proper and timely documentation of service provision, client activities, and progress towards goals and outcomes. Identifies staff development and training needs and provides coaching and training as required. Supervises the following positions: Belfort House Case Managers – Full‑time Bronzeville Youth Shelter Case Managers – Full‑time Bronzeville Youth Shelter Support Specialists – Part‑time Bronzeville Youth Shelter Overnight House Managers – Full‑time/Part‑time Interns, as assigned. Provides regular supervision with the oversight of the Director of Transitional Programs. Ensures all agency program staff are appropriately cross‑trained in all program departments to ensure collaborative understanding and alignment of agency's mission. Residential Milieu Assists in managing milieu schedule to assure all shifts are covered in Belfort House and BYS in coordination with Residential Milieu Manager. Adjusts schedules as necessary so that the maximum number of staff can participate in trainings and agency meetings. Provides general supervision and appropriate intervention in the milieu. Assists youth with activities including daily chores, room maintenance and cooking. Manages any crisis and/or emergency that may occur in the residential community. Engages youth in activities and accompanies youth on approved activities outside the residential program. Presents proper activity documentation to include receipts. Works with the team to ensure that the delivery of all services embody Ignite philosophies. Documents and maintains medication protocol. May be called upon to support the basic center and/or adult transitional living program. Documentation & Communication Completes all required shift and client related documentation as outlined. Actively participates in trainings and team meetings as required. General Prepares and submits all required forms and statistical documentation. Maintains documents regarding participants' cooperation, daily activities, and other records in compliance with agency and external policies, procedures, and applicable licensing standards. Works as part of a team to provide support and assistance whenever needed. Follows agency policies and procedures for the obtainment of information and provision of services to clients. 1st level adjudicator for client grievances. Provides arbitration for client disagreements with staff and/or other clients. Member of committees and teams including, but not limited to: Residential Team Client Support Team (CST) Participates in program planning and evaluation Participates in and contributes to regularly scheduled supervisory and team meetings. Manages direct reports to assure compliance with all agency policies and procedures. May supervise volunteer and/or intern tasks, as assigned. Participates in on‑call weekly rotation with other staff. When on‑call, must be able to get to program site within 90 minutes to deal with crisis. Performs other duties as assigned. Position Requirements Education, Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field or 4 years or more of residential youth work experience required. 2 years or more of supervisory experience strongly preferred. Has a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record and is willing and able to drive the agency vehicle when requested – following background check, must be insurable under the agency’s insurance coverage. Additional Qualifications Strong oral and written communicator. Demonstrates consistent business ethics and integrity in all of their actions. Exceptional organizational skills regarding schedules and work product. Displays a passion and commitment in their work with Ignite clients. Able to manage well in an ever changing, fast paced environment. Solid team player, critical thinker, and problem solver. Is flexible with their work schedule to meet the needs of the clients and agency commitments (including but not limited to training and meetings). Some weekend and/or evening hours may be required. Automation: Ability to use computer equipment and Microsoft office applications, e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook. Must be able to learn and understand the system that retains the electronic records on all clients, and complete timely and accurate data entry as directed. Physical: Must be able to climb stairs on frequent daily basis. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. Must have valid Illinois driver's license.
