Corporate Development Associate

A leading North American power generation company is hiring an Associate to join its Corporate Development team. This role supports the evaluation and execution of strategic growth opportunities across generation, renewables, storage, and emerging technologies across North America. Reporting to a Director or Senior Lead, the Associate plays a key role in transaction analysis, valuation, and due diligence — working closely with senior team members and cross-functional partners to advance disciplined, value‑accretive investments. It is an excellent opportunity for an early- to mid-career professional to build hands‑on M&A and corporate development experience within the power and energy sector. What You'll Do Transaction Evaluation and Analysis Support the evaluation of acquisition, investment, and partnership opportunities Build and maintain detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and scenario sensitivities Analyze commercial, financial, and risk considerations to inform investment decisions Prepare clear, well‑structured summary materials for internal review Due Diligence and Execution Coordinate due diligence activities across Finance, Legal, Operations, Strategy, Regulatory, and external advisors Review diligence materials and identify key commercial and financial risks Assist with transaction documentation and tracking of deliverables through to close Work closely with internal stakeholders to gather inputs, test assumptions, and validate analysis Support knowledge sharing and process improvements within the Corporate Development team What You'll Bring 2 to 5 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, project finance, management consulting, or commercial strategy Strong financial modeling and valuation skills including DCF and scenario analysis Exposure to M&A, joint ventures, or infrastructure investments is an asset Experience in power, energy, utilities, infrastructure, or renewables preferred Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Economics, Business, or a related field Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills #J-18808-Ljbffr Infrassocs
