Fiduciary Tax and Accounting Associate

Responsibilities Preparation of fiduciary income tax returns (Form 1041 for trusts and estates) and beneficiary tax returns (Form 1040 for individuals) Process annual 1099 tax reporting forms Setup of new clients in accounting system Setup of assets in accounting system Enter financial transactions from investment and bank records Enter deposit transactions from electronic deposit records Submit check deposits utilizing remote deposit scanner and enter transactions Print and reconcile annual client statements and process edits and corrections as needed Collaborate with the accounting department and other company personnel to help with processing financial transactions Perform timely and accurate accounts reconciliation Detect problems and discrepancies in accounting procedures or related documentation and develop measures to resolve them Ensure compliance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws Skills & Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree Basic understanding of accounting and financial concepts Experience working with accounting systems Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite & Teams Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor Excellent organizational and time management skills as well as the ability to multi-task with flexibility The ability to learn and adapt to company procedures and principles Be a team player, which includes the ability to effectively communicate, coordinate tasks, and actively listen to others Preferred: Experience with preparing tax returns Experience with fiduciary services, whether personal or professional Individual seeking career within the fiduciary industry. #J-18808-Ljbffr Ohana Fiduciary Corporation
