EEG Technologist / Neuro Diagnostics Specialist | Contract

Location: Portland, OR

Duration: 16 Weeks

Shift: Day Shift | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Hours: 40 Hours Per Week

Responsibilities:

• Perform EEG (Electroencephalogram) testing for inpatient and outpatient populations.

• Monitor and record electrical brain activity for diagnostic evaluation.

• Prepare and position patients for neurodiagnostic procedures.

• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR.

• Collaborate with neurologists, physicians, and healthcare teams to support patient care.

• Respond to rotating weekday and weekend on-call requirements.

• Float between units as needed based on patient care needs.

• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols.

• Maintain, calibrate, and clean EEG equipment.

• Educate patients regarding testing procedures and expectations.

• Support efficient workflow within a high-acuity hospital environment.

Preferred:

• Experience with EPIC EMR.

• Experience in a teaching hospital or acute care setting.

Requirements:

• Experience or training as an EEG Technologist or Neuro Diagnostics Technician.

• Ability to work in a short-term acute care hospital environment.

• Willingness to participate in rotating weekday and weekend on-call coverage.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow neurological testing protocols.

• Ability to work with 1:1 patient assignments.

• Ability to float between units as required.

• Strong communication and patient care skills.

• Ability to work full-time day shift schedule.
