THE ROLE Performs the daily activities of the accounting function at the facility and as the Accounting Manager or Finance Director by performing the following duties: Essential Duties And Responsibilities Maintains fixed asset detail records; performs account analysis. Assists Director of finance in preparation of financial statements. Perform variance analysis of financial statements to budget and prior periods Enter A/R and A/P invoices, reconcile GL to detail aging. Record cash receipts and disbursements. Records journal entries for project accounting. Record journal entries for revenue recognition. Performs account analysis on general ledger accounts. Onboard new union hires/ employees Review I9 and payroll paperwork for accuracy Performs any other functions delegated by Director of Finance. Audits box office ticket sales reports and reconciles cash receipts. Records parking sales per event. Records food and beverage sales per event, audits month end inventory Record merchandise sales per event, involved in inventory counts. Education and/or Experience B.S. in Accounting or Finance from a four-year accredited college or university 1-2 years of experience in a position with accounting responsibilities preferred Or similar combination of education and experience Skills And Abilities Thorough knowledge of financial and cost accounting Excellent analysis skills and attention to details Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required Ability to interact with all levels of staff including management and clients Detail oriented Ability to function independently with minimal supervision Experience in MS Office, strong knowledge of Excel including pivots and VLOOKUP’s, knowledge of Dynamics or other ERP accounting financial reporting software.
