You will inspect electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakers, identify electrical problems using a variety of testing devices, and repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools.Schedule:Shift: 12-hour, straight nightsAbility to train on day shiftCompensation & Benefits: Value, RecognizedWe reward great work with:Pay: $41.67/hr + $2 shift premiumBenefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, disability, and life insurance coverage starting day onePaid time off and holidaysTuition reimbursement and professional development opportunitiesJob Description: Possibility UnpackedWhat you’ll do:Facilitate and enforce all the company safety policies and procedures as they are outlined and defined.Provides daily maintenance for the plant, performs mechanical, electrical, and preventive (PM) maintenance functions.Responsible for the maintenance work in emergency break down situations.Participates with maintenance and manufacturing supervision in establishing priorities for routine maintenance assignments.Provides daily electrical maintenance, repair and installation of equipment.Provides technical advice to machine operators and manufacturing supervisors on matters relating to equipment modifications and time estimates on maintenance repairs.Must be able to document changes to electrical drawings.Assists as requested in the layout, installation, movement or dismantling of plant equipment.Assists in inventories of needed maintenance parts and tools to keep manufacturing equipment running efficiently.Must have strong knowledge of general operation of the machine functions and their capabilities to assist the machine operators.Must be willing to work in a team environment with other associates as well as be self-motivated when working alone.Electrical service Technician needs to maintain knowledge of National Electrical Codes for proper installation and protection of electrical equipment.Knowledge of PLCs, motor controls, wiring schematics and electrical symbolsKnowledge of Aims / SAP is plusPerforms other related duties as assigned.What we want from you: Lead the PackPreferred qualifications:1 year prior electrical experience working in a manufacturing environment.Good computer skillsMust have the ability to work in a team-based environment, assist others when needed and lead by example while focusing on safety, quality and productivity.Must believe in promoting a positive culture within the facility focused on pride, ownership and accountabilityCommunication skills – written/oralAnalytical skills/problem solving100% of working hours are spent in a manufacturing production environment with the majority of that time spent standing, walking and moving around the machine to operator manufacturing equipment.Personal protective equipment is required at all timesAbility to quantify results, identify new opportunities, adapt to change and interface with all levels of managementPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds on a frequent basisRequired to stand, sit, squat, bend, walk, lift (as noted above) and climb frequently throughout the day on a daily basisWhy Amcor?Be part of a global leader while working in a supportive, team-driven environment.
