We’re seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with recent OB/Perioperative surgical experience to support a hospital-based surgical team in Providence. This is a hands-on perioperative opportunity for an RN comfortable caring for surgical patients throughout the operative journey—from patient preparation and sterile technique to intraoperative support and post-operative care. ✨ Why This Opportunity Stands Out:
- ???? 3 × 12-hour night shifts — 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- ???? Hospital-based Operating Room / Perioperative Services environment
- ????️⚕️ Specialized exposure to OB surgical procedures
- ???? 36 hours/week with a defined contract assignment
- ???? Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and multidisciplinary surgical teams
- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care to surgical patients
- Prepare patients and operating rooms for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons and the surgical team during procedures
- Maintain strict sterile technique when handling instruments and equipment
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans
- Monitor and document patient information throughout the perioperative process
- Active Rhode Island RN license or applicable compact RN license
- BLS Certification – American Heart Association
- 1–2+ years of recent OB/Perioperative OR experience
- Recent hands-on experience with C-sections, D&C, PPTL, and D&E
- Current COVID-19 vaccination required; no exemptions
- CNOR certification preferred
