Hedin LLP is seeking an entrepreneurial and skilled associate to join its nationally recognized plaintiffs’ class action practice, with a particular focus on consumer protection, data privacy, and antitrust litigation.

Associates at Hedin LLP are given meaningful responsibility from day one. Rather than operating within a large team or narrow practice silo, our associates work directly with the firm’s partners on every stage of complex class action litigation—from investigating and developing new cases to briefing dispositive and class-certification motions, taking and defending depositions, appearing at hearings and mediations, and negotiating class-wide resolutions.

We are particularly interested in attorneys who want to do more than simply litigate an existing docket. Associates are encouraged to identify emerging legal issues, develop novel theories of liability, and originate and build new cases. For an ambitious attorney, the position offers an unusual opportunity to take meaningful ownership of sophisticated litigation, developing cases from inception through resolution. The firm rewards this entrepreneurial approach through performance-based bonuses, including substantial bonuses for originating successful matters.

We are looking for an attorney with:

\n

\n
• At least two years of experience at a sophisticated plaintiffs’ firm, ideally with class action experience.
\n
• Exceptional legal research and writing ability, including experience drafting substantive motions and briefs.
\n
• Strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and a creative approach to complex legal problems.
\n
• Demonstrated proficiency with AI-powered tools, including platforms such as Claude, and an ability to leverage emerging technologies to enhance legal research, analysis, drafting, and case development.
\n
• An entrepreneurial mindset and an interest in identifying and developing new cases.
\n
• A genuine interest in litigating novel consumer-protection, data-privacy, and antitrust matters on behalf of nationwide classes.
\n

\n

A federal district court, federal court of appeals, or state supreme court clerkship is preferred but not required.

\n

Compensation and Benefits

\n

The position offers a base salary of $150,000, together with performance-based bonuses, including origination bonuses that provide associates with the opportunity to significantly increase their total annual compensation.
