Work Environment

This position is onsite at our rehabilitation facility, where collaborative teamwork is at the heart of our approach. You will be working alongside two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), benefiting from a supportive environment that fosters professional growth. The hours for this role are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized treatment plans based on thorough assessments to address the specific goals and needs of each patient.
• Maintain an effective patient caseload, treating one individual per hour to ensure dedicated attention and care.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to offer cost-effective solutions that enhance patient mobility and quality of life.
• Explore non-surgical alternatives to prescriptions and invasive procedures, minimizing reliance on medications.
• Develop comprehensive care plans that incorporate various treatment modalities, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercise.
• Customize fitness and wellness programs tailored to patients' unique requirements and health objectives.
• Motivate and encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation process, fostering a positive mindset toward recovery.
• Enhance patients' overall physical health through strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination training.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care and optimize treatment outcomes.
• Continuously evaluate patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary, ensuring open lines of communication with patients regarding their care.
• Document all treatment sessions and progress accurately within our electronic medical record (EMR) software, including WebPT.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic specializes in providing care for patients recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries, including joint replacements, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain conditions. We cater to a diverse client base, largely covered by private health insurance, ensuring personalized attention and high standards of care at every encounter.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
• An active Virginia Physical Therapist license is essential, with no recorded instances of board actions or disciplinary measures.
• Exceptional manual therapy skills and proficiency in developing exercise rehabilitation programs.
• A knowledge of EMR software, with experience using WebPT being a significant advantage.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient clinic is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to engage patients and foster long-term recovery relationships.
• Experience in collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver holistic patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for the Physical Therapist position ranges from USD 90,000 to USD 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
