This flexible and rewarding role is ideal for an experienced nurse who enjoys variety, professional growth, and being part of a supportive, mission-driven healthcare team.As a **Resource Pool RN**, you’ll have the opportunity to provide expert nursing care across multiple departments, building diverse clinical experience while making a difference in the lives of patients throughout the hospital. You’ll deliver safe, high-quality, and compassionate care guided by Sentara’s standards of practice and professional performance.**Responsibilities:*** Provide competent, patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.* Demonstrate sound clinical judgment and adaptability in a variety of units and patient populations.* Participate in health teaching, patient education, and care planning.* Promote ethical, evidence-based, and culturally congruent nursing practice.* Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive team environment.**Qualifications:*** **ASN, (BSN or MSN preferred).*** **Valid RN license** in the state of Virginia (or compact state).* **BLS certification** required within 90 days of hire.* Specialty certifications/training as applicable by clinical area: + **Critical Care/IMCU:** ACLS within 1 year of hire. + **Emergency Care:** ACLS & PALS (or ENPC) within 1 year of hire. + **Oncology Care:** ONS/ONCC or Sentara-approved Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Card within 6 months of hire. + **Women’s Care/Perinatal:** NRP within 6 months of hire. + **Inpatient Pediatrics:** PALS within 6 months of hire.Located in **Suffolk, Virginia**, Sentara Obici Hospital offers a welcoming community atmosphere with the resources and support of one of the most respected healthcare systems in the region.
