Senior Building Inspector (Plans Examiner) Placer County's Community Development Resource Agency currently has one vacancy for Senior Building Inspector (Plans Examiner) in the Auburn office. The Senior Building Inspector functions as a key member of a team that ensures the County's programmatic initiatives are implemented and carried out within the expectations of the Board of Supervisors and the Department. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, prioritizing, leading, and reviewing the work of staff, as well as training and providing functional technical support for plan review and inspection staff and continually improving the customer experience. In addition, this position may engage in residential and commercial building plan reviews and inspections in order to ensure proper accountability and key functions are met. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and skilled team leader with good communication techniques and will possess a demonstrated ability to lead and train lower-level staff to success. Supervising Building Inspector Placer County's Community Development Resource Agency also has one vacancy for Supervising Building Inspector in the Auburn office. This position is responsible for the oversight of the plan check team within the Building Services Division. Assignments will include responding to the most complex project inquiries, interpreting applicable code, and serving as a liaison between department management staff and the public. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, take full ownership of the plan check unit, and possess a demonstrated ability to lead and supervise lower-level staff while providing coverage for field inspection staff as needed.
