Laboratory test technician

job summary: Laboratory Test Technician is needed for a leading industrial manufacturer located in Taylor, MI. Role is responsible for the safe and correct preparation of metal samples and the testing of those samples. This is a contract opportunity with overtime potential. Hours currently available are during weekends and holidays while also covering for shifts during the week.

location: Taylor, Michigan job type: Contract salary: $35 - 40 per hour work hours: 8am to 4pm education: High School responsibilities: Responsible for general support activities in a testing laboratory Equipment maintenance and calibration (balance weight checks) Responsible for the safe and correct preparation of metal samples and the testing of those samples Ensures the resulting values are correctly logged either via the automation systems or by manual entry Responsible for daily production testing, product quality control and special investigations.
