Test Technician III, 2nd Shift (Onsite)

Date Posted: 2026-05-01 Location: Phoenix, AZ – 1007 E University Dr Position Role Type: Onsite (U.S. Person required) What You Will Do Plan, assemble, disassemble, rework, and perform engineering development and qualification tests on various aircraft components and systems. Analyze and evaluate test results to verify that required parameters have been maintained. Follow blueprints, guidelines, and diagrams to ensure products meet specifications and tolerance levels. Perform functional testing using established test procedures and record all results accurately. Troubleshoot down to the component level. Monitor test completion, maintain test equipment, and document acceptance or failure outcomes. Operate hand tools, machine tools, and electronic/mechanical test equipment safely and effectively. Load and unload electronic units in test beds while adhering to quality and safety standards. Utilize SAP and computer‑based systems to follow work instructions and meet production schedules. Participate in continuous improvement (CORE), safety, and waste minimization initiatives. Collaborate across departments to resolve issues, train others as needed, and support audits and compliance activities. Shift: 2nd Shift – Monday to Friday, 2:30pm to 11pm. Train on 1st Shift for up to 2 weeks, then transition to 2nd Shift. Work Environment May occasionally require weekend and holiday support to meet customer needs. Exposure to products of various weights and sizes, equipment with moving parts, and chemicals that may emit fumes. Wearing static‑control and personal protective equipment is mandatory. Physical Demands Distinguishing colors and meeting vision requirements. Bending, stooping, reaching, turning, picking up totes, and placing units on racks. Using hands for extended periods to perform testing and troubleshooting tasks. Stand for 2‑hour increments without an opportunity to sit. Lifting up to 25 pounds; transporting product with or without carts. Qualifications High school diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/technical education with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Experience with component‑level troubleshooting, schematics or blueprints, and using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and/or spectrum analyzers. Prefer associate’s degree in Electronics and/or certification in Electronics. Prefer experience in the aerospace industry and with thermal/vibration tables and test rigs. 3–4 years of relevant experience in a component‑level troubleshooting environment.
