Accounting Manager

What You’ll Do You’ll lead and develop an accounting team while overseeing the full spectrum of governmental fund accounting — from monthly reconciliations and payroll oversight to budget preparation and federal financial reporting. You’ll be the final set of eyes on transactions, approvals, and cash flow accuracy, ensuring everything closes clean and on time. Day-to-day, you’ll manage fund reconciliations, chart of accounts structure, travel claims, investment splits, and funding code assignments. You’ll also play a key role in audit support, grant disbursement tracking, and the build-out of long-term water augmentation accounting procedures — work that genuinely matters for the community this organization serves. When team members need backup coverage, you’ll step in confidently across bond proceeds, period expense reporting, arbitration preparation, and internal audit functions.
