Bring your expertise to a supportive middle school environment dedicated to providing inclusive education to every student. This full-time, contract position focuses on serving a self-contained, non-severe caseload at the middle school level. Enjoy professional collaboration, hands-on classroom experience, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact over the course of the school year. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through June 4, 2027, with a structured Monday–Friday schedule from 7:15am to 3:15pm (37.5 hours per week).

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility)
• Experience working in self-contained classroom settings at the middle school level
• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs), modifications, and accommodations
• Excellent classroom management and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, support staff, and families
• Commitment to fostering a positive, engaging learning atmosphere for students with diverse abilities

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver tailored lesson plans to meet varied learning needs
• Monitor and report student progress toward IEP goals
• Use differentiated instruction strategies and behavioral supports
• Coordinate and participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences
• Provide a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment
• Collaborate with service providers and multidisciplinary teams
• Engage in regular communication with families and educational staff
