Legal Secretary needed for our government client in Towson. The Legal Secretary will provide administrative support to the accountability committee. Six month contract position. The non-negotiable pay rate is $17.00 per hour.

Essential Duties:

• Assist our Executive Assistant in providing administrative support to the Accountability Board and Administrative Charging Committee.
  
• Reviewing investigative materials and evidence submitted by the Department's Internal Affairs Division for Administrative Charging Committee cases.
  
• Drafting opinions for each Administrative Charging Committee meeting for committee members to review, revise, and approve.
  
• Assisting our Executive Assistant with meeting preparation, document management, and maintaining confidential records.
  
• Supporting our Executive Assistant with administrative tasks, including proofreading meeting agendas, minutes, and other documents for accuracy and completeness.
  
• Analyze confidential materials and prepare clear, well-written documents.
  

Qualifications:

• Experience as a paralegal or legal secretary is required.
  
• Must have strong writing, proofreading, and organizational skills.
  
• The ability to analyze confidential materials and prepare clear, well-written documents is required.
  
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and have the ability to manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.
  
• Must be able to work from 8:30 am-4:30 pm Monday through Friday with a 1 hour non paid lunch.
  
• Must be able to pass an FBI background check and drug test.
