Position Overview

Stand-By Personnel is seeking experienced Pipe Fitters to join a high-demand fabrication facility in Tulsa. This position is responsible for fitting and assembling process piping systems for industrial applications, including meter tubes, gas piping, pig launchers, vessels, and related equipment.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in process piping, can read isometric drawings independently, and takes pride in producing precise, high-quality work while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Required Experience & Skills
• Minimum 2 years of pipe fitting experience required
• Strong experience with process piping systems
• Ability to read and interpret isometric drawings, blueprints, and fabrication drawings
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Commitment to workplace safety and production standards

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Cut, prepare, and fit process piping systems according to engineering specifications
• Read and interpret isometric drawings, blueprints, and work orders
• Assemble systems including meter tubes, gas piping, pig launchers, pressure vessels, and related equipment
• Verify proper fit-up and alignment prior to welding or final assembly
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment safely and accurately
• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards are met
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Support production needs by assisting with fabrication and assembly tasks as required
• Follow all company safety procedures and fabrication standards

Preferred Qualifications
• TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW), or Flux Core (FCAW) welding experience (weld testing required if claimed)
• Previous experience in industrial fabrication or pressure vessel manufacturing
• Knowledge of ASME piping standards and fabrication practices
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and repetitive physical activity throughout the shift
• Ability to safely work around heavy materials, fabrication equipment, and industrial machinery while wearing required PPE
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding fabrication environment
