Showroom Sales Representative — Luxury Marble & Natural Stone

Company: Cumar

Location: Everett, MA 02149 (69 Norman St., just north of Boston) — Onsite showroom

Compensation: $52,000 base ($1,000/week, paid weekly) + an extra $500/week draw for your first six months ($65,000 guaranteed in year one), then 3% commission on cash collected. Past reps in this seat have earned $150,000–$250,000 per year.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. No nights, no weekends.

About the Role

As a Showroom Sales Representative, you will guide clients through choosing premium stone for some of the most important rooms in their homes. Most of your clients will arrive with a designer, architect, or builder, and they will count on you for product knowledge, good taste, and steady follow-through. The job is consultative and relationship-driven: learn the project, walk the slabs with the client, build and revise the quote, and keep the opportunity moving until it is sold. Then hand it off cleanly to Project Management.

What You’ll Do

• Meet clients for scheduled appointments in the showroom and slab yard
• Help clients weigh material options, design considerations, pricing, and availability
• Build quotes, manage revisions, and keep your pipeline notes and follow-ups current
• Ask the right questions about each project’s timeline, budget, decision-makers, and design team
• Follow up consistently so good opportunities don’t stall
• Learn the fabrication process on the shop floor so you can speak confidently about what’s possible
• Build referral relationships with designers, builders, and architects (optional evening networking events)

What You Bring

Required:

• 2+ years of consultative, showroom, design, or other client-facing sales experience
• Polished, confident presence with high-end homeowners and trade professionals
• A track record of managing multi-touch sales where timing and details matter
• Comfort with quotes, revisions, and keeping a pipeline organized

Preferred (a plus, not required):

• Experience selling stone, tile, cabinetry, kitchen & bath, appliances, flooring, or other luxury home products
• Ability to read plans, do takeoffs, or measure (we’ll teach you if you don’t)
• Existing relationships with designers, architects, or builders in the Boston area
