Accounting Specialist

Hinman, Howard & Kattell, LLP, the region's leading law firm, is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our headquarters office in Binghamton, New York. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with accounts payable and accounts receivable experience who is looking for a stable, professional work environment where accuracy, teamwork, and customer service are valued. Responsibilities Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently. Perform daily accounting procedures while ensuring compliance with firm policies and internal controls. Review, sort, scan, file, and maintain invoices, checks, and financial documentation. Provide outstanding customer service and support to attorneys and staff throughout the firm. Assist with additional accounting and administrative projects as needed to support departmental and firm objectives. Qualifications Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing functions preferred. Associate degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field preferred. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing workloads. Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
