We are seeking a Data Professional to drive the future of business intelligence at our organization. While our data lives in a structured SQL Server environment, we are looking for a candidate who brings fresh perspectives, and the technical confidence to evolve our reporting capabilities. This is a collaborative position designed for an analyst who wants to move beyond standard report maintenance and directly shape how our business interacts with data. Key Responsibilities Data Strategy & Tool Selection: Evaluate our current data workflows and recommend modern reporting solutions. Database Operations & Maintenance: Write, optimize, and manage complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and views within our existing SQL Server environment. Transformation Management: Maintain and optimize current data pipelines using SSIS, while looking for modern ways to automate and improve ETL processes. Modern Workflow Innovation: Explore and integrate AI-assisted tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude) to optimize query writing, automate routine data tasks, and accelerate development. Data Stewardship: Ensure maximum data integrity, quality, and security across both legacy systems and new reporting platforms. Required Qualifications Core Database Skills: Strong proficiency with SQL Server and relational databases, including the ability to write clean queries and troubleshoot SSIS packages. Analytical Mindset: Proven ability to look at raw financial and operational data, identify trends, and design entirely new reporting frameworks from scratch. Adaptability & Autonomy: Comfortable working in a changing tech landscape, with a proven track record of researching, learning, and adopting new software tools independently. Advanced Excel: Mastery of deep Excel functions, data modeling, and handling complex datasets. Communication: Ability to pitch new technical ideas to leadership and translate complex data structures into clean, executive-ready dashboards. Preferred Qualifications (Plus Factors) AI/ML Exposure: Experience using generative AI for SQL prompt engineering, automation, or data discovery. Financial Software Experience: Experience querying, extracting, or managing data in an ERP or accounting systems. Leasing Platform Knowledge : Familiarity with specialized leasing software data structures. Advanced Excel skills and the ability to manage, analyze, and model large, complex datasets. Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for business leaders and stakeholders. A self-starter mentality with the ability to independently learn new tools, adapt to evolving business needs, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
