Speech Language Pathologist - Full Time

We're looking for an experienced SLP to take on a full-time role with one of our area clients in Dothan, AL. You will work with patients in a skilled nursing facility to improve communication and swallowing, making a measurable difference in their daily lives. Minimum Requirements

• Master's or doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association required.
• Active Alabama state license required.
• Preferred completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). Candidates without CFY will be supervised by an SLP holding ASHA CCC.
• Experience evaluating and treating communication and dysphagia disorders across the lifespan, including neonates to geriatrics.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to communicate effectively with physicians and clinical staff.
• Preferably, experience with video fluoroscopic evaluations and dysphagia therapy.
• Ability to perform screenings, assessments, documentation (evaluation, treatment plans, goals, progress notes, discharge summaries), discharge planning, and staff in-service training.
• Willingness to provide treatment only on physician prescription per facility policy.
• COVID-19 vaccination preferred; exemptions will be considered.
