Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their physical capabilities and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their personal needs.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve patient mobility, strength, and overall function, closely following physicians' orders.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, including evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with professional standards.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and support personnel, providing guidance in daily patient care activities to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Regularly interact with a multidisciplinary team to discuss patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Stay abreast of new techniques and research in physical therapy to continually enhance patient care quality and outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily caters to a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, those suffering from chronic pain, and patients with mobility impairments due to various health conditions. Your treatment will be deeply rooted in understanding the unique challenges and goals of each patient, guiding them toward improved health and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university.
• Current and valid Physical Therapist license issued by the state of Virginia.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems for managing patient documentation.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical physical therapy setting is preferred, with a strong emphasis on home care or community dwellings. This experience enables you to effectively assess and implement care strategies that meet the unique needs of patients in a home environment.

Compensation and Benefits

Heartfelt Insights Psychiatry offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
