Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current occupational therapy license (or eligibility) for Michigan
• Previous experience working with school-age children preferred
• Knowledge of IEPs, developmental milestones, and assistive technology
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students to determine needs for occupational therapy interventions
• Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to student goals and IEP requirements
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support educational goals
• Provide direct therapy services, both individual and group, within the school setting
• Offer recommendations for adaptations, accommodations, and equipment to improve student access and participation
• Collect progress data and report on outcomes for each student served
• Participate in IEP meetings and assist in the development of student educational plans
• Educate staff and families on occupational therapy strategies to support students in the classroom and at home
